Based in Forest View Place, a 21-bed residential care facility attached to the Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital, this facility embodies a resident-centered philosophy designed to support residents’ choices, help people function at their highest level, and provide the best quality of life possible.

The Recreation Program Coordinator plans, develops, implements and evaluates a variety of recreational/leisure programs designed to support residents’ health and well-being. In accordance with facility requirements this position supervises designated staff, students and volunteers. Forest View Place offers a multi-disciplinary environment where the Recreation Program Coordinator is part of a healthcare team consisting of a residential care coordinator (RN), an activity worker, a physiotherapist, an occupational Therapist, and a dietitian. Shifts are scheduled Monday to Friday (08:00 to 14:30 hours). Some weekend work may be required.

• Graduation from a recognized recreational program.
• One year recent, related experience.
• A valid Class IV vehicle license.
